Playing The Part at The Chubby Checker Concert

When Jean Kennedy got her two tickets for the Chubby Checker concert, she was so excited, she told her sister. Sister’s advice: “dress up in a ‘50s poodle dog skirt, saddle shoes…the whole nine yards.” (the poodle skirt era was before Jean’s time, but she figured it would spice things up). Playing dress up was the easy part; the hard part was deciding who to take as her date; she had two guys to choose from, so again, she asked her sister. Sister kept on the poodle theme: “pick the dude that would fit into the ‘50s.” And with that, Jean choose Bob. As for Bob, he said he felt younger getting dressed up like he was back in the ‘50s: the tight jeans, leather jacket, slicked back hair…the whole nine yards. He even gave Jean his ring to wear on her necklace. From the moment Jean and Bob arrived at the casino, they stood out in the crowd. They really did give us something to talk about!
